I can't remember another wedding where a bride and groom put in so much effort into the design, look and set up of their wedding. From the first time we met Angela and Chris at The Crown And Thistle in Abingdon, we knew this was going to be something special.
And they didn't disappoint. When we got to the Crown & Thistle at about 11am, the place was a hive of activity. It was was like one of those house makeover shows on TV, everyone running around like headless chickens, and then it all comes together with seemingly just minutes to spare. The attention to detail, and the amount of little special touches was amazing.
Chris and Angela had arranged something very special for after the ceremony. They'd hired a boat for a river cruise to bring all the guests for a trip along the river Thames.
Unfortunately, just as the boat was leaving it started to rain, and didn't let up for the rest of the day. Despite the rain, the boat trip was a great success and every one really enjoyed their cruise through the Oxfordshire countryside.
Back at the Crown & Thistle, the function room was looking amazing after a sprinkling of Chris and Angela's magic fairy dust. What was a beautiful rustic barn, now looked even more rustic, earthy and magical.
As the rain poured down out side and day turned to evening, some of the tables were moved to the sides to make way for a dance floor. The bar was being well used, the dance floor was full and everyone had a ball.
So, after a few portraits outside in the rain, it was time for us to go. What a beautiful wedding to be a part of.
