I was so excited to photograph Ian and Annette's wedding, not only are they are gorgeous couple with a stunning venue but they had the added romance factor of being childhood sweethearts AND they were also being married by Father Brian.... the vicar from my very own wedding last year, it brought back lots of happy memories hearing them make their vows!
Getting ready at the hotel in Deddington, Annette was surrounded by excited family and friends all waiting to wish her well before she walked down the aisle, whilst Ian got ready just a stones throw from the church with an equally excited party of groomsmen. We loved their bright sunflower buttonholes and bouquets which tied in nicely with their OUFC colour scheme at the reception.
The ceremony at Thorpe Mandeville church was just perfect and the sunshine and smiles after the ceremony made for great photos. We even had time to do some cheeky couple shots with the couple's very cool looking classic car before heading off to the reception at The Great Barn.
The Great Barn in Aynho is one of our favourite wedding venues to photograph, we shoot weddings regularly at the barn in Oxfordshire and we always manage to find awesome new backgrounds and angles every time. Such a vast beautiful landscape surrounding the venue means that we are spoiled for choice there.
I have never seen an Oxford United FC colour scheme before but it worked brilliantly. The flowers, table settings and favours provided awesome pops of colour and were so personal to Ian and Annette, it made for great pictures.
We were having such a great time with this gorgeous bride and groom, we just couldn't stop snapping and just as we were about to leave we spotted the spectacular sunset, so rushed back inside to grab them...well worth it we think. We couldn't wait to download their photos and we love them, we hope they will bring back many happy memories for the couple for years to come and this will definitely be one that we remember fondly.
