When Heythrop Park informed us about their golf day event, we jumped at the opportunity and were delighted to be the event photographers. It was a cold and foggy Thursday morning, Ivor and I met up at Heythrop Park for 9:30. We then approached the clubhouse and met the contestants and the organisers. We were then all briefed and the contestants were put into teams. Ivor and I discussed what we both would be doing. I would be in charge of editing the photos which would take place on the field while Ivor would be taking photos of the contestants and then handing the SD card to me so I could therefore edit the photos on the go.
It was a tough task but we both managed to complete our tasks to a high standard. We were both on the field until the lunch break came upon us and we had time to sit down and go through the photos that have been taken. By then the sun had come out and it started to warm up which gave us an extra boost to get through the day. After lunch had finished, we moved towards the end of the course as the contestants were nearing the end of their day. Ivor manged to take some stunning images with the Heythrop building as the backdrop. Once the contestants manged to finish the course, myself and Ivor headed back to the clubhouse as the winner would be announced.
Once the winner was announced and pictures were captured of the prize giving, we both had time to reflect on the day and our work. The images we captured were excellent and really showed how much the contestants enjoyed their day and how hard they fought to win the event. The images were edited to a high standard and we both were over the moon with the work that we had produced. So after a hard day’s work on a cold a foggy day, we managed to produce some excellent work and were happy to be part of the Heythrop Park golf event photographers.
